Your walling tutor will be Stephen Harrison, examiner for the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain and a Master Craftsman.

This dry stone country has a cultural heritage reaching back through history. 

Cumbria has over 50 stone circles, places of mystery and solitude and is also home to modern interpretations of old sheep-gathering folds by sculptor Andy Goldsworthy.  A number of these are within easy reach of your walling site, dotted along ancient drive roads.
